Domaine Florian opens the summer season in a truly special way, bringing cinema to its outdoor space and creating an experience that combines film, wine, flavors and the atmosphere of an authentic summer evening.
The new TherOina | Movie Under The Stars screening series transforms the outdoor area of Domaine Florian into an open-air meeting point for those who love classic cinema, curated experiences and evenings with character. The films are screened in their original language with Greek subtitles, while guests are seated at tables, enjoying wine and food throughout the evening.
The experience begins early, with doors opening at 15:00 and the screening starting at 18:30. Guests can choose from cinema snacks, a dinner movie experience and more premium options, such as a wine flight featuring Domaine Florian wines or the complete Domaine Experience, which includes a tour of the cellar and vineyard, wine tasting and a charcuterie board.
The season opens on Saturday, June 6, with Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece Strangers on a Train, a 1951 psychological thriller that remains one of the most iconic moments in classic cinema. The tension, the glances, the dark game between the characters and the unforgettable carousel finale make it the ideal first screening for a summer cinema season with character.
On June 13, the mood shifts with the legendary Grease from 1978. A night filled with music, nostalgia, energy and summer freedom, with Sandy and Danny returning to the big screen in a screening made for friends, wine and singing under the open sky.
The series continues on June 20 with another Hitchcock masterpiece, Rear Window from 1954. The film, starring a photographer who watches his neighbors from his window, gains a special power in an outdoor screening, where darkness, silence and the sense of observation become part of the experience itself.
What makes the TherOina evenings stand out is not only the films. It is the way Domaine Florian connects cinema with wine culture and hospitality. This is not simply an outdoor film screening, but a complete evening experience where guests can arrive earlier, enjoy dinner, taste Domaine Florian wines, share a charcuterie board and then experience the film in a more atmospheric, relaxed and refined setting.
In this way, Domaine Florian offers a new proposal for summer evenings: less formal than a typical night out, more curated than a simple screening and distinctive enough to become a reason to return. With classic films, outdoor table seating, wine, food and the feeling of summer all around, TherOina creates an experience designed for those looking for something different.
